Terms of Service

1. In General

In this privacy policy, “Frid”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refers to Visonomic A/S, organization no. 925610453 with a registered address at Bakken 19, Batnfjordsøra, Gjemnes, Norway. When using Frid’s website (hereinafter “the Web”) or Frid’s app (hereinafter referred as “the App”) (collectively “Services”), your personal data is processed in accordance with this policy.

The Terms of Service applies to all services provided by Frid, including Frid web services (hereinafter “the Web”) and Frid’s app (hereinafter referred as “the App”) (collectively “Services”).

It is a condition for using Frid’s Service that you accept the Terms of Service. If not, you cannot use Frid’s Service.

Frid’s Service may only be used by individuals who are 15 years of age or older.

1.1 Version

These Terms of Service were last updated in June, 2022 and superseded all previously applicable Terms of Service. The Terms of Service are valid until new Terms of Service are released.

2. Creating a profile

To use Frid’s Service, you must create an account. Creating an account manually requires you to enter your name, birthdate, email address, password, while telephone number is optional. You can also create an account by logging in with Vipps. The profile you create is for your own personal use.

To fully utilize all Frid’s features offered by Frid and its features, you can provide additional information about yourself, such as postcode, number of people in household, age, gender, etc.

When creating a profile with Frid, you must enter a personal password, which should be treated confidentially at all times. You must never make your password available to anyone.

3. Security

Frid always adheres to the following security requirements:

  • All data communicated between Frid and your device is encrypted. Thus, it is not possible for third parties to access the content of the data between your and Frid.
  • Frid’s employees never access your specific transaction information without your consent. This may, for instance, be if you need support.
  • Only authorized employees at Frid have access to production data without consent for the purpose of ensuring data quality and troubleshooting.
  • Frid continuously backs up all data on Amazon Web Services.
  • Frid logs and, among other things, registers from which IP addresses your profile is accessed, and we also detect any failed attempts to log in to your account.
  • Frid uses an external security company, which scans Frid’s Service for any security breaches. If the enterprise finds serious security breaches, Frid will be notified of these and subsequently have a short time to address such issues.

3.1 Your security

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.

In case of abuse or suspicion of abuse of your password, you must inform Frid immediately by contacting the above address or contact us at support@frid.app. If Frid suspects that abuse of your profile account, we can always block it. Under these situations, Frid is not liable to you or any third party.

Frid recommends that you as a user maintain a high security standard. You should:

  • Ensure your password is always sufficiently secure. The password should, among other things, contain upper case letters, lower-case letters, numbers, and minimum eight digits.
  • Ensure that you log out when using third parties mobile devices such as Smartphones, Tablets, etc.
  • You should never give others access to your security information.

4. Collection of data from financial institutions

With your explicit consent, Frid may, for your use of our Service, obtain information from your financial institution(s) about your transactions. Only information about your account names, balances, account type, currency, and transactions is obtained, read our Privacy Policy.

Frid can obtain data from most financial institutions but cannot guarantee that this is possible in relation to all financial institutions.

5. Communication between Frid and the User

Frid can continuously inform you about important information, such as changes to our Terms of Service via the email address you provide when creating your account, via messages in the Frid App or via push notifications.

5.2 Optional inquiries

In the App, you can choose which types of optional inquiries you wish to receive from Frid. Frid’s inquiries may be based on information about your spending. You can read more about how Frid processes your personal data in our Privacy Policy.

Frid regularly sends your messages about your finances unless you opt out of this. Such messages may be spending overviews, status regarding your spending goal, and others.

With your explicit consent, Frid may send newsletters to your email address.

Frid will send information about new features and other material related to Frid to your email address, via messages in the Frid App and/or via push notifications, provided you have given consent for this.

Frid may ask for your experience with the use of Frid App via requests to your email address via messages in Frid’s App and/or via push messages, unless you have opted out of this. If such inquiries contain marketing material, you will be asked for your consent.

With your explicit consent, Frid may, through the App, push notifications, and email, send you information about special offers that Frid may give its users the opportunity to use. Such offers may be based on information about your spending.

6. Frid Service Plans and Subscriptions

The Frid Services are available under different Service Plans. Frid’s website provides details of the available Service Plans, which can be categorized as the following:

  • Free Service Plan: Frid’s Free Service Plan offers access to a limited set of features in Frid’s mobile application service.
  • Paid Basic Service Plan: Frid’s Basic Service Plan offers accessibility to all features and functionalities available in Frid’s mobile application service. However, to use shared-accounts between Frid’s users, both users (requester and receiver) need to have the Paid Basic Service Plan.

The Service Plans vary based on the Frid’s Service you have chosen to subscribe to. The content and features of a Service Plan may vary based on when you signed up to our Services. Details about the different Service Plans are available on our website.

You can manage your Service Plans from your Frid’s Website user account.

6.1 Payments, Cancellations and Upgrades

General

This section of Terms of Service only applies to you who have signed up for one of our Paid Service Plans.

Paid Service Plans can be purchased directly from Frid’s website through third parties or Enterprise Agreement with Frid.

You promise that your registration information, payment details, and any other information that you submit to us are true, accurate and complete, and you agree to keep it that way at all times. If you have provided incorrect or inaccurate information, you should return to the login screen or correct such information in your account settings. You promise that no other person shall be allowed to use or access your account, or in any other way make use of the rights conferred to you pursuant to the Agreement.

6.2 Payments and Subscription Periods

All Paid Service Plans are payable in advance of each Subscription Period and, except expressly stated in an Enterprise Agreement, non-refundable.

You will be charged prior to being granted access to your Paid Service Plan. At the end of your current Subscription Period, your Paid Service Plan will automatically renew and you will be charged for the next Subscription Period in accordance with your registered payment information.

If you do not pay for your Paid Service Plan on-time, Frid reserves the right to suspend your account or remove Paid Service Plan features.

6.3 Cancellations

If you do not wish to renew your Subscription Period for a Paid Service Plan, you must cancel your Paid Service Plan before the end of your current Subscription Period. Any cancellation will become effective on the first day after the last day of your current Subscription Period. Upon cancellation, your access to features that are exclusive to the Paid Service Plans will cease, and your subscription will be automatically downgraded to a Free Service Plan for Frid Service you subscribe to.

6.4 Upgrades and downgrade

You may at any time upgrade or downgrade your Paid Service Plan subscription to a different Paid Service Plan. If you downgrade your subscription to a lower tier Service Plan, the downgrade will take effect on the day after the last day of the current Subscription Period. If you upgrade your subscription to a higher tier Service Plan, the upgrade will take effect immediately subject to payment of the applicable upgrade fee.

Upon upgrading, your Paid Service Plan will be subject to a new subscription term. You will be credited for any remaining term under your previous Paid Service Plan.

6.5 Price changes and new Service Plans

Frid may change the price for a Paid Service Plan. If such price changes apply to you, it will be effective from the beginning of your next Subscription Period. Your continued use of Frid Services constitutes your acceptance of the price change. If you do not agree with the price changes, you have the right to reject the change by canceling your subscription prior to your next Subscription Period renewal.

We do not provide any refunds if the price for a Paid Service Plan drops, or if we offer subsequent promotional pricing or change the content or features of a Service Plan.

Frid may decide to change or replace or Service Plans. If the Service Plan you have subscribed for is changed or replaced, your subscription will automatically be for the Service Plan that corresponds with the pricing of your original plan unless you chose to upgrade your subscription.

6.6 Trials

We may, at our own sole discretion, offer you a Trial. We reserve the right to revoke the Trial and put your account on hold in the event that we determine that you are not eligible. Separate terms of service, including restrictions on available features or areas of use, may apply when using Frid Service under a Trial.

For some Trials, we will require you to provide your payment details to start the Trial. In such cases, your Trial will automatically be converted to a paid subscription for the selected Service Plan as of the first day after the end of your Trial period. We will use the payment details you provided when you started the Trial to charge you. If you do not want to continue using your selected Service Plan on a paid subscription basis, you must cancel your subscription before the end of the Trial period.

6.7 Taxes

Prices listed may not include sales or value added tax and applicable tax may be calculated and added at the time you complete a transaction and, depending on where you made the purchase, such tax may not be visible to you until you receive a receipt for your purchase. In certain jurisdictions, local laws require that prices include all applicable taxes, in which case this will be indicated at the time of purchase.

7. Rights

Frid holds all rights to its Services, including the Web, the App, and all other materials on Frid platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, copyrights, proprietary rights, and trademark rights to Frid’s Services.

You retain the rights to the material that you provide to Frid’s Services, but you give Frid a non-exclusive right to use this material so that Frid can provide its Services to you.

As a user, you may cope, distribute and display material from the Web or the App provided you credit Frid by name. This does not include copying the Web and the App.

8. Operations

Frid strives to avoid errors, defects and disruptions in the services on the Web and the App at any time, but this may occur. Frid would like to receive information on such matters and will seek to remedy such matters as soon as possible.

Frid performs ongoing maintenance and updates on both the Web and the App. During maintenance, certain or all features may become temporarily unavailable. During updates, one or more features may be removed from Frid’s Service.

Frid will, to an extent, inform of expected disruptions of service in advance, and notify users of any possible removal of functions. However, Frid is not required to do so.

Frid is not liable to its users in the event of eros, defects, malfunctions or removal of functionality.

9. Termination

If you disagree with the Terms of Service or for any other reason no longer wish to use Frid’s Service, you can delete your profile account at any time.

Frid may at any time and without notice suspend or terminate your agreement regarding the use of Frid’s Service and, if necessary, delete your user profile, for example in cases of unacceptable user behavior, attempt to abuse other users’ accounts, attempt to access other users’ data or other illegal or improper behavior. If Frid suspends or terminates your agreement on use of Frid, Frid will contact you via the App or the email address you provided when creating your Frid account profile.

Deleting your user profile will permanently remove or anonymize all data registered with your Frid user profile and the data cannot be restored. You cannot make any claim against Frid if your user account is deleted.

10. Withdrawal of consent

You may withdraw one or more of the consent(s) you have given Frid at any time. This can, for instance, be regarding marketing email, retrieval of your user account information, and others. Withdrawal of consent may be exercised in the App. You can also withdraw your consent by contacting support@frid.app.

If you withdraw one or more of your consent(s), you will still have access to your profile account in the App, but some features may change and/or not be accessible.

11. Liability

Frid cannot be held liable for your use of the App at any time, including but not limited to any acts or omissions that are made based on information from the App. Your use of the App, as well the information you obtain from the App, is your own responsibility and at your own risk.

In cases where Frid allows users to receive special offers from third parties, Frid cannot be held liable for any agreements concluded between the user and third parties. This is solely a relationship between the parties mentioned above.

Frid is not liable for non-compliance with the agreement, damage, or loss in case of force majeure - considered inter alia virus or hacker attacks, crashes, errors in communication systems, power failure, subcontractors’ force majeure, and other unforeseen events that Frid could not reasonably foresee or avoid.

12. What are push notifications

Push notifications will alert you when something important happens and are completely free.

What is stored?

In order to send you push notifications we store your user email and which type of notification you selected. Push notifications will not contain personal data.

We use Amazon Web Services as data processors. For more information on how we deal with your personal data see Frid’s privacy policy.

You are in control

You can turn off push notifications at any time in the settings. At that time, we will delete the information stored about you.

13. Changes

Frid may change these Terms of Service at any time and with notice. The latest version is always available in the App. You will be notified of changes to the Terms of Service via the email address provided in your user profile account with Frid, via a message in the App, or via push notifications in the App. If you do not agree to the changed Terms of Service, you will no longer be able to use the App, and Frid is entitled to delete your profile.
